How to write strong female lead characters
When writing a strong female lead, I always try to keep a few key (simple) points in the front of
my mind.
That she be strong of character, rather than (or as well as) physically. She needs to know her
own mind, and not be afraid to follow through, whether she's right or not.
That she has her own life, background, hobbies, friends etc, because a strong woman can stand
on her own two feet.
That her story and plot be independent of romance, because so often in movies (in particular)
the female has no further purpose to the story aside from being a love interest.
But also, that she’s human. She needs flaws and vices and bad habits just like any other
human. In the case of Kit, she swears a lot, she's headstrong, stubborn, quick to shift blame and
crazy addicted to coffee.
Your opinion on revenge (positives, negatives, etc)
Revenge tends to be a popular theme for badass heroines, because for the most part they don't
tend to be the forgive and forget kind of chicks. Which I'm all for, given the revenge they seek is
deserved and for the greater good. A heroine who feels the need to follow the "eye for an eye"
situation is not always going to be a better or stronger person than the antagonist, but she also
can't be a pushover. So, that being said, it's a super fine line! Justice is admirable in a heroine,
not so much revenge.

She is a lover of books, red wine, cats and coffee and is not a morning person. She is a bit too sarcastic and swears too much for polite society and definitely tells too many dirty jokes.
